Since 1975 we’ve been masters of metal, proving we can cut it, through the good times and the bad. Founded by Spencer Davies OBE, who can still be found on the factory floor, helping everything tick over and bringing the youngsters on. In 2000 Spencer handed the reins to his son, Owain, who has continued to build on the solid foundation laid by his father. Amcanu is a true family-run business, with good family values at its core.
Making metal enclosures to an exceptional standard doesn’t happen without blood, sweat and tears. It has taken a great level of expertise and a committed workforce to achieve what we have so far. But, we have aspirations of staying at the top of our game and continually improving the quality of our products. Amcanu continues to invest in the very latest technologies and we’re systematically investing in every one of our process lines.
Every single member of our team is committed to delivering the very highest standards. Helping each other and working together to approach problems in new ways – they thrive on a challenge and take great pride in their work. They’re all experts in their respective fields and all naturally share a positive can-do attitude. There’s nothing this inspiring bunch can’t do with sheet metal!

Our centre of the universe is a small harbour town in South Wales called Burry Port. Most of our employees live locally and we believe it’s important to support our local community and provide real opportunities for good hard-working people.
We proudly support many of our local organisations, from junior football and rugby teams to the brass band and male choir. We also support our local charities and provide students from local schools with regular placements and work experience. Burry Port is a great place to call our home.
