New & Improved Finishing

With support from Lloyds Bank, Amcanu has begun installing a state-of-the-art powder coating plant and lifting hoist, which will halve current production time. Powder-coating is a finish that electrostatically covers metal products in a dry powder, before heat is then applied which makes the powder flow to create a hard finish, which is significantly tougher than traditional paint.

The old plant had been in place for more than 20 years, and updating it was the next step in Amcanu’s growth strategy, allowing the business to significantly increase capacity, and ultimately grow its customer base.

As installing the new paint line has been such an exciting development for the business, we decided to capture the process on film, to share with customers and colleagues alike.
